“My pet Hiro is an important part of my family. So, when it comes to entrusting someone to care for him — either at day care or overnight stays — that decision is a big one.

I knew the minute I walked through the door of Shoreline Pet Lodge that this wasn’t just a business (like so many are). Instead, it was evident that this was a family-owned facility that truly took the time to know and understand the animals in their care.

Shoreline Pet Lodge staff are communicative and kind. They ensure that Hiro’s daily medicine is administered correctly, and upon pickup, they report Hiro’s behavior—for instance, if he was seen favoring one of his paws over the others.

Whether it’s an email or a phone call, if Hiro was acting unusually or even seemed a little “off,” the staff at Shoreline would immediately tell me so that I could get Hiro the care he needed.

Shoreline Pet Lodge notices things I don’t even notice — they genuinely care. Run by pet advocates and lovers, they don’t just watch your pet; they engage and enrich their lives, making it a place pets want to be.

Hiro is a dog that doesn’t resist walking in when he goes either — he runs in! I know he has a good time at Shoreline Pet Lodge because, after a full day of friends and activities, Hiro snores A LOT at night!

On top of it — the Shoreline staff is completely professional, and the facility is spotless. I could think of no other place I would feel more comfortable bringing Hiro than Shoreline.

As a fellow business owner, it’s the ultimate compliment and sign of trust when customers are willing to recommend you to family or friends.

So, without question — I recommend Shoreline Pet Lodge to my family, my friends — and anyone else willing to listen.”

“The owners and staff of Shoreline Pet Lodge are like a second family to me, but moreover, to my beloved dogs Angus and Millie.

Angus had special needs that required interventions above and beyond what many daycares could provide. As a deaf and extremely anxious dog, the staff at Shoreline customized a program for Angus that met his needs. They also referred me to additional resources that, over time, really helped Angus to become the much calmer and more confident dog he is today.

Shoreline Pet Lodge also provided my dogs and my family with much-needed support during my husband’s illness and subsequent recent passing. They looked after my dogs when my husband was especially ill and in hospice care. They went the extra mile to provide emotional and physical care to Angus, Millie, and me during this incredibly difficult time.

Shoreline Pet Lodge is more than a business. The owners and staff really care about the dogs and their families. Their partnership with me in caring for my dogs has been a special and unique experience. I will forever be grateful to them, as will my dogs, who love this place like it was their own home.”

“I have happily boarded my dogs at Shoreline Pet Lodge for over 30 years.

As a veterinarian serving the area, I recognize that the owner and staff are conscientious about keeping a clean and healthy environment for the pets in their care. The team there all love animals, but just as important, they address clients’ specific needs when it comes to their pets.

The staff has attended to my pet’s unique needs on more than one occasion. For instance, my pets are all older and require more warmth than younger dogs do. The staff at Shoreline always provides a draft-free environment with clean and comfortable bedding.

During another occurrence, my eldest dog, a Miniature Pincher, was anxious about being away from home. Shoreline’s staff recognized her behavior and kept her on a soft bed in the front office, where she found comfort in having more human contact.

As a veterinarian, I am regularly asked which boarding kennel I recommend, and without hesitation, I recommend Shoreline Pet Lodge.

The kennel staff is courteous and friendly. The facility is more like a pet camp, where the dogs can have playtime, walks, and a spa bath.

Having my pets at Shoreline Pet Lodge has helped them socialize and gives me peace of mind knowing they are in a safe environment where the staff is attentive to their every need.”

Katrina, Ken, and Frankey Grace Jordan

“Frankey has been going to Shoreline Pet Lodge for over seven years now, and we have never had any reason to change.  Shoreline gives Frankey a place to go while we’re at work so she can use her extra energy and socialize.

We use day care, boarding, and grooming services, and it’s great that we can get everything we need in one place with people Frankey feels comfortable with.  We are always welcomed with a smile, and everyone greets Frankey by name and with love.  It is a very caring atmosphere.

When Frankey was younger, she went to Shoreline Pet Lodge Doggy Day Care every weekday.  As she got older, Barb, Shoreline’s owner (and the staff), recognized that Frankey wasn’t herself and that the schedule may be a little too much for her.  Barb recommended a lighter schedule or more rest time if we still needed to bring her for the whole day.

With attention, honesty, and transparency, Shoreline Pet Lodge was more concerned with Frankey’s well-being than money, and I was very happy they came to me.

Shoreline does everything it can to ensure Frankey feels at home when she stays with them.  When Frankey boards at Shoreline Pet Lodge, they follow a very detailed feeding and treat schedule we have for her.

Frankey is terrified of thunder and usually sits as close to us as possible whenever a storm occurs.  When Frankey was boarding at Shoreline, one of the staff members sat with her for comfort during a thunderstorm.

Shoreline goes out of its way to personalize each pet’s daily experience.  The individual attention they give to all the different personalities is amazing.  They recognize that each dog has different needs.

Frankey thrives in small group play, so they allow her to break away from larger groups or do enrichment activities.  Through the pictures and videos on Shoreline’s Facebook page, I can see how happy Frankey is when she gets to do these things, and I love it.

The real telltale sign is when we drop Frankey off in the morning.  When we wait in the lobby for Shoreline staff to come to get her, Frankey is whining and staring at the door, anticipating her turn to go in!  After pick-up, Frankey is tired and sleeps well because she has had such a fun day playing with all her Shoreline friends.

Shoreline Pet Lodge is the only place we feel safe leaving Frankey.  We genuinely believe they love her and extend this love to all animals in their care.”

“My family 100% recommends Shoreline Pet Lodge because they continually customize the care for my dog to make sure he has a great day.

Most other day cares have large groups of dogs contained in one area, and this was difficult for our Australian Shepard, Colt, because his instinct was to herd the group. Other day cares in the area couldn’t offer other options and weren’t willing to tailor his care in any way.

Colt is incredibly smart, and Shoreline Pet Lodge pairs him with two to three dogs to play, which works out great — they do activities, agility, brain games, and training.  He loves it!

Shoreline Pet Lodge even took pictures with our dogs with fun props and backgrounds and gifted them to us at Halloween and Christmas.

In the morning, Colt races into Shoreline’s lobby, and at the end of the day he doesn’t want to leave.

Despite my family’s long work schedules, Colt has fulfilling days and it makes for a very happy household.”

“At Shoreline Pet Lodge, the staff is friendly, willing to help and suggest ways to ensure your pet has a good experience.

Twice, when I was in a bind (and would have had to cancel air travel), Shoreline was able to find room for my dog, Teddy. Teddy likes his walks, and Shoreline Pet Lodge provided cost-effective solutions so I could add on extra playtime during his stay.

Knowing that he is safe and happy, having a place where I can board Teddy gives me the freedom to travel and makes business trips much more manageable.

It tells me a lot that, when I am taking Teddy to board at Shoreline, he is happy to go in and happy when I pick him up.”

Spirit has been going to Shoreline Pet Lodge since she was a one-year-old puppy.

When we started boarding Spirit there, they always let me bring her favorite blanket.

At Shoreline, they know Spirit’s personality — if she’s tired or not acting like herself.

One day, Barb called me on my cell phone when my daughter and I were in New York for the weekend. Spirit was boarding there and had thrown up. Barb knew I’d be concerned because of Spirit’s underlying medical condition.

I’ll never forget Barb’s words when I worriedly saw the number for Shoreline come up on my caller ID.

She said, ‘She’s ok!’ before I could even say hello.  I love that she knew I was worried.

I always recommend Shoreline Pet Lodge!

The atmosphere is a happy one. They take pictures of the dogs playing daily and give a report card on their day (if time allows).

There are slides, pools, and water play in the summer.

Spirit loves it.

We feel very comfortable knowing she will be safe and happy at Shoreline.

My daughter and I know Spirit is with her second family when she’s there.”
