Frequently Asked Questions

[FAQs!]

Having a friend or relative visit your pet could cause your cat or canine to think they’re going home — warranting unwanted stress during their stay.

As a result, no incoming visitors for pets are permitted while in Shoreline’s care.

Howeverwe welcome pet check-in calls from parents!

Pet siblings must board separately; however, we can place them in suites where they can still see each other.  (Even the best of friends can sometimes get ruff with one another while away from home.)

Reservations for boarding and Shoreline’s L.E.A.P. program (doggy day care) are required.

Shoreline Pet Lodge must also maintain current copies from your pet’s veterinary office of the following documents:

  • Your pet’s recent rabies certificate.

(not required for dogs under six months).

  • Your pet’s vaccinationsincluding dates administered and when the vaccines expire.

At Shoreline Pet Lodge, we are fully equipped to administer oral and topical medications to your pet; however, please note we cannot administer prescription injections.

Pet Parent Pointers:

  • Please bring your pet’s medications in the original containers.

  • If you’re bringing your pet’s preferred food, please avoid mixing medicines with their meals beforehand.

Whether staying for the day, enjoying an extended stay, or attending our L.E.A.P. program, your dog must be at least four months of age to participate.

Similar to a hotel, pet parents are charged upon check-in and according to their check-out times.

Shoreline Pet Lodge ensures your pet’s stay is as easy as possible — beds, blankets, bowls, food, and treats are provided.

Pet Parent Pointer:

Do you have an anxious animal?

Shoreline recommends bringing in an old piece of caregiver clothing so your pet can feel more comfortable (and smell someone they love during their stay).

It’s okay if your pet does not pass the day care evaluation!

Not all dogs enjoy canine company, and some do better connecting 1:1 with humans.

Shoreline still offers another option!

Your dog can board with us for the day and participate in activities like agility, extended walks, plays, and puzzles. Extra add-ons are also available to ensure your pet has an excellent stay.

Pets participating in a morning half-day session or a full day of the L.E.A.P. program (doggy day care) must arrive before 8:45 A.M.

Pets participating in the L.E.A.P. program afternoon session must arrive by 2:00 P.M.

Boarding guests have individual exercise and sleeping areas.

All dogs are kept separate unless they wish to participate in our L.E.A.P. (doggy day care) program.

Pet Parent Pointer:

  • To participate in L.E.A.P. while boarding, you must schedule an evaluation for your dog before their Shoreline stay.
